Meet the Founder and Principal Consultant
Hi! My name is Dr. Jessica Martinez and I am an educator, researcher, and community advocate. I am dedicated to advancing equity, expanding opportunity, and creating meaningful change through education and community empowerment. Through my 10 years of experience, I have worked with schools, NPOs, higher education institutions, and community-based organizations to design and lead impactful initiatives to better serve diverse communities.
From Mexico and now based in New York City, my personal and professional journey is deeply rooted in the experiences of communities navigating culture, identity, language, and opportunity. My unique perspective is shaped by both multicultural lived experience and years of work and practice. My work is grounded in the belief that underserved communities deserve representation and meaningful opportunities to shape the decisions that impact their lives.
I have advanced degrees in Psychology, Sociology, and a doctoral degree in Education & Human Development. My scholarly work focuses on identity, culture, and the experiences that shape how communities understand themselves and their place in the world.
Through Martinez Community Learning & Strategy, I aim to provide distinctive expertise to organizations through strategic bilingual consulting and creating pathways where people can learn, grow, and thrive.
